Hi. My name is Christina and it is my pleasure to write you. I am a 26-year-old daughter, sister, soon to be auntie :) and wife to the loving man God blessed me with. My parents raised my two brothers and me in a Christian home, and I accepted the Lord into my life when I was a young girl.

Being that I was raised with godly parents and a respectful fear of the Lord, I always tried to do what was right and pleasing unto Him. I kept good grades and watched what company I kept with friends. After graduating high school, I was ready for college. I went to a local state college, but the freedom that college-life brings got to my head. For a time there, a certain rebellion came over me. I was too afraid to do anything too crazy, so my rebellious stage came with lying to my parents about the company I kept, and having a boyfriend that my parents didn’t approve of. Old high school acquaintances that I now started hanging with weren’t encouraging me to do what was righteous. Saying a lie here or there was a major deal to me, but it seemed like the thing to do to get my way.

But God is so faithful to protect His children. He never let me out of His sight, and every time I lied to my mom about who I was hanging out with or where I was going, I felt an incredible sense of conviction and emotional pain I didn’t need. Soon enough, I made the decision to stop being a follower of man and to get serious about my relationship with the Lord. After about 2 months of this nonsense I broke up with the boyfriend, dropped the friends, and looked toward my Lord to restore me. God never let me out of His sight and my parents weren’t very far behind Him. No matter how small my rebellion may seem, it was enough to be labeled as sin and to spur me on to only good works for the Lord. Shortly after, I rededicated my life to God and vowed to only follow Him and to spur others to follow Him also.

No matter the length of rebellion, it ultimately means being out of the Lord’s will. Knowing I was out of God’s will made me feel awful, disconnected from Him. I may have been out of His will, but not too far that I couldn’t come back with great fervor to do what was pleasing unto Him. If you are where I was, I pray that you can find God. He’s right there, He’s never left you! He will never leave you! All you have to do is follow Him, and He will lead you to great things. I pray you are able to find your source of life and strength in our great Lord. No matter the extent of your rebellion, sin is sin, and those in sin need a repentant heart to be close to God. We are blessed that He has provided that outlet for us through His Son Jesus. I pray that you find what you are looking for in our Lord. Remember, He loves you and is just a prayer away.
