The World Is So Bad & There Are So Many Bad People That I Find It Hard Not To Judge

The world is so bad and there are so many bad people that I find it very hard not to judge. I know I shouldn’t but I don’t know how. And my sister is always getting on my case about oh you think everything is bad. It’s so annoying, and she just likes to go along with everything, and not so good things.
And also,my classmates only talk about clothes, shoes, twilight, movies, and boys. But I find that stuff extremely boring! So what should I talk to them about?

Hi there,
I can very much relate to how you are feeling. I must say that I think that perhaps I can share a few things that could help you better handle the situations that surround you.
First and foremost I would like to talk a bit about grace. Grace is a supernatural issue. Grace is part of Godâs character and something we would never have known about apart from Jesus. What is the definition of grace? Grace is to receive something one does not deserve. In the case of a believer in Jesus Christ this word is absolutely huge and very much the beginning of a new life. It is by grace that anyone is saved. This actually means that it pleased the Lord to reveal Himself in your life. There is nothing you did to earn this (Eph 2:8-9). The Bible even goes as far as to say that you werenât even looking for this (Rom 3). Therefore, this is the true spring board if we are evergoing to understand and be compassionate toward those who havenât had the privilege yet to experience grace for the first time.
Now, the complicated thing is that even those who have received Godâs grace in a new birth through the cross of Christ can still misunderstand grace. This leads to a constant frustration because if we want to live our lives in a godly way as God would have it, most of the people around us are not going to understand much less support this decision (1 Cor2:11-16). What can we do then? Well, we must first of all pray for those who surround us. Pray that God would have mercy and extend his grace toward them. Pray that God would help you better understand the miracle of his grace in your salvation. Pray that you would be filled with the Holy Spirit every single day so you can grow in understanding and to be able to better discern where God would want you to be (Phl 1:8-10).
Yes, it is our responsibility to draw near to God by selecting our closests friends and being very careful as He renews our minds (Rom.12:1-2) but we must do it as the Holy Spirit leads none the less otherwise we can do more damage than good. Know that you canât expect a nonspiritual person, a person that has not had a second birth, to understand you at all (Jn 3:3). Remember the Word says that a natural man does only what comes natural to him and can not recognize much less understand spiritual matters (1 Cor2). As the recepient of Godâs new life you will crave different things and you should work on relationships that can support your growth in the Lord (Heb 10:24-25).
Ask the Lord to bring godly women into your life to train you in the way you should go (Titus 2:3-5) but never forget that those around you right now need you to be the salt and the light of the world (Matt 5:13-15)Sometimes salt will bring flavor into a situation but sometimes if the people around you are woundedâŠsalt in a wound is not an easy thing to take. Always remember that if you are behaving as Christ would, then the rejection is not on you. They are rejecting Christ.
The Word also tells us that people in the world avoid the light for fear that their evil deeds will be exposed (Jn 3:20). So, the smart thing is to always consider whether someone has been born of above or not and expect them to behave differently. Do I want to become close friends with people who claim to be Chritians but are acting like the world? NO! But do I feel a responsibilty to be Christâs ambassador to the world(2 Cor 5:20)? YES!
Therefore, make sure you are always wearing your full armor of God so you can stand firm. The helmet of your salvation will protect your mind. Knowing that God has by grace called you by name will always give you a security no one else can bring. The belt of Truth will keep you from caving in to anything that is not of God. The breastplate of righteouness will protect your heart. The shoes of peace will keep you out of trouble and the Word of God will give you all the wisdom to walk through this world for Godâs glory. (Eph 6:10-19).
By grace,

I know that it can be heavy and depressing when you look around at all the evil, injustice, and foolishness in the world. I too have had found myself fed up and to the point that I would want to cry out to God to take me home to be with Him already. Then I look at my children and family and all that God has entrusted to me and I realize that my job is not finished here. So I keep drawing strength from the power of the Holy Spirit, because He is our source of comfort and peace. (John 14:16-17,27)
Remember sister this world and everything in it is only temporary. This world will pass away along with all of its forbidden cravings. (1 john 2:17) As for us Christians, we do not belong to this world just as Jesus did not belong to it. (John 17:14) We are only traveling through it for a short season with a divine purpose and calling on our lives. Our heavenly Father desires to use us to share the love of Christ with the rest of the world. We were saved for His service. (Ephesians 2:10) So we must be patient and long suffering with others. (1 Corinthians 13) We need to keep doing good and not give up, because we will reap a harvest in due season. (Galatians 6:9)
It is not our heavenly Fatherâs will that any should perish, so He has by His grace and mercy chosen us to be his spokes people, His ambassadors. (2 Peter 3:9,2 Corinthians 5:20) All though we see the evil all around us we need to ask the Lord to help us to see the world through His eyes. We need to be able to see others in need who are hurting, oppressed, depressed, hungry, homeless, in need of clothing and try to help meet their needs through prayer and by sharing our own provisions. We even need to ask Him to help us to love the seemingly unlovable.
As far as raising children, if the Lord blesses us with a child it is to train them up in His ways. Our children, if taught the Word of God and the fear of the Lord, they will impact this world. We are only stewards of our children they do not belong to us. We are just supposed to train them up and send them out for God to use for His holy purposes. He will give us wisdom and guidance to raise our children properly in these ends days. Do not fret sister. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
As far as praying in tongues, speaking in tongues is a gift of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who gives the ability to speak in heavenly languages and other languages unknown to us. (Romans 8:26, Acts 2:4)
We have had other questions come in about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe that perhaps this will help you. Here are the postings. Take a moment and read them.
The first one isâŠ
I Have Been Wondering About Spiritual Gifts And The Holy Spirit

What Is The Actual Baptism Of The Holy Spirit And When Does It Happen

I will pray for you sister.
Dear Heavenly Father I come before you right now in Jesus name on behalf of my sister. You sister her heart and what she is feeling. You know her concerns and anxieties. I pray that you would reveal to her who she truly is in You. Reveal to her the Truth of your Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. Give her a desire to draw close to You in Your Word, like never before. Let her be hungry for the Bread of Life. Let her thirst for Your Living water. Renew her and give her your peace that surpasses all understanding as you trust in You and meditate on Your Word. In Jesus name, Amen!
Here are some other scriptures that help me. I pray that they encourage and strength your soul also.
Philippians 4:6-8 â6Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
7And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [d]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
8For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].â (Amplified Bible)
2 Corinthians 12:9 â9But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!â (Amplified Bible)
And this last scripture is one that I had to print up and tape to my bathroom mirror for almost 2 years.
John 14:27 â27Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]â (Amplified Bible)
Stay on the narrow road sister.
Sincerely,
Trophy of Grace
Hi!Okay, this may sound a bit suicidal, but trust me i am not that kind of person so dont be alarmed.I just need to get some stuff of my chest.
I feel like terribly frustrated at this moment. It is just like when i have a bunch of problems i dont know what to do.I sometimes wish i could just go to heaven straight, where everything is perfect and theres no bad people or little girls shaking their buts in music videos.I mean,i figure i have 70 to 80 more yeras on earth, but how do i survive.I love od and i want to do his will, but its mega hard!!Sometimes i look around and it makes me not even want to have children. Why raise innocent souls in a filthy world?I dont know what to do!Please advise me and seriously pray for me!Oh and another thing how do u pray in tongues?
From the moment I read your response I immediately remember the Word the Holy Spirit gave me when I was finding myself irritated by those around me. He gave me Colossians 3:12-17
â12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 MAKE ALLOWANCE FOR EACH OTHER’S FAULTS, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, CLOTHE YOURSELVES WITH LOVE, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And LET THE PEACE THAT COMES FROM CHRIST RULE IN YOUR HEARTS. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And ALWAYS BE THANKFUL.
16 LET THE MESSAGE ABOUT CHRIST, in all its richness, FILL YOUR LIVES. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 AND WHATEVER YOU DO OR SAY, DO IT AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks through him to God the Father.â
I believe that He is trying to train you in this situation. He wants you to learn to love those that are not so easy to love. He wants you to learn to see them through His loving eyes. He wants you to reach out to them with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. He wants you to make allowances for their faults. No one is perfect, none of us.
Sister you have got to ask God to help you with this. Reject that judgemental spirit. You do not have to submit to it. Instead submit to the Spirit of Love that lives inside of you. Meditate on these verses above and allow His Word to transform your thinking. Learn to clothe yourself in love. Remind yourself that we are all in different places spiritually and allow His peace to rule in your heart. (Romans 12:1-2)
Be thankful for the opportunity that God is giving you to reach out to these people. Let the message of Christ fill your life. The message was about forgiveness and love. He proved His love for us by dying on the cross for us while we were still sinners. Show them the same love and lay down your feelings of judgment and love them right where they’re at.
Itâs ok to be silent. You donât have to always have words. When you do talk, talk about your interests with them. Talk about life. Just listen and ask God to give you the words to speak to them. Be lead by the Spirit. He will give you the words to speak at just the right time. Be patient with yourself. Don’t allow yourself to get frustrated over this. This is a time of training for you. You are doing well by seeking godly counsel.
We will be praying for you sister!
Many blessings to you sister in Christ Jesus,
Trophy of Grace
