Does This Apply To All Clubs?

Does this apply to all clubs? Sometimes in dance classes like salsa and tango, you have to go to a club where they do those dances to practice. Would these also be included?

Trophy of Grace replies…

Well sister,

bigstockphoto_latino_dance_eps_3542717Most clubs play worldly music that promote sex, promuscity, sexual perversion, unfaithfulness and covetousness. Spanish music is really no different. I am Puerto Rican and I love my culture and it’s latin beats of salsa and merenge. I used to love going dancing with my husband to the Spanish clubs. But worldly clubs both Spanish and American do not promote anything good. I used to try to convince myself that the Spanish clubs were different from the American clubs, but when I went I would feel the Spirit within me grieved. I just knew that I know longer belonged to the night life any more. (Romans 13:12-13)

Regarding HAVING to go because of dance practice. Well..we don’t have to anything that we know would grieve the Spirit of God and that the Word clearly tells us to not to do. When you get a moment read the posting ‘What Does The Bible Say About Partying & Clubbing?’. Also, couldn’t you have your partner practice with you at the dance studio? If not, if this is a requirement for you to go the clubs then perhaps you should seek God’s will about your participation in these dance classes. (Ephesians 4:30)

Take some time to pray and fast about if your dancing is pleasing to Him. Does it glorify Him? So much of the dancing today is all about sexy and seductives moves. Dance can be beautiful without all of the Beyonce and Shakira moves.

As you continue to draw closer to the Lord in prayer and by seeking Him in His Word your desires will change. Your roots will begin to grow down deeper in Him and you will become firm in your identity in Christ Jesus. You will know inside of you what pleases Him and you will long to please Him in every area of your life. Nothing will be more important than showing Him you love by you being obedient to His Word and to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Blessings to you sister in Christ Jesus name..

Stay on the narrowroad. (Matthew 7:14)
