Does Everything Happen For A Reason?

I am in college. I was recently told that I will be in college longer because of lack of credits. I am a social work major and many of my social work classes are only offer in the fall or spring semester. So I will be in college longer. My question is, does everything happens for a reason? I was trying to understand this situion and there is no way getting out of it. I am trusting God, I know there will be more money to worry about but I will trust God. But yea, does everything that happens, happens for a reason?

Trophy of Grace replies…

I believe that anything that happens to us whether good or bad God has a plan. I love what Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that IN ALL THINGS GOD WORKS FOR THE GOOD FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM, who have been called according to his purpose”

joseph-interpret-pharaohs-dreamWhich then reminds that no weapon formed against us will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)

Then there’s Genesis 50 where the story of Joseph is coming to a close and Joseph tells his brothers who sold him into slavery, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” If you don’t know the story you must take the time to read it. It is an awesome testimony of how God does exactly what Joseph said, takes what the enemy intended to destroy him and used it for his good.

Be encouraged sister and keep trusting God through all this. Be diligent and faithful with your studies. Be a good steward of your college education. It is a blessing from God. Don’t fret about the money. The Lord will provide. Trust Him with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Sincerely,

Trophy of Grace

I am so happy that you answer this question. What you said makes so much sense. I really did not want to be in college longer, but I am trusting God that everything will work out. I know that my roommate and most of my class will be graduratuing while I am still at college. That made me very afriad becuase I did not know what to think of this sistuion. I don’t understand everything and don’t know everything, but I will trust God and lean on His knowledge and know that He will take care of me and everything else.
