jesus-names-2Prophecies went out of One Who would come, saying…

“And He shall live; and the gold of Sheba will be given to Him; prayer also will be made for Him continually, and daily He shall be praised…His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things! And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.” (Ps. 72:15, 17-19 NKJV)

“But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you are little to be among the clans of Judah; [yet] out of you shall One come forth for Me Who is to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth have been from of old, from ancient days (eternity).” (Micah 5:2 Amp)

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Is. 7:14 NKJV)

And the prophecies were fulfilled…

“And (Mary) brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7 KJV)

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matt. 1:21 NKJV)

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Is. 9:6 NKJV)

“In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.” (John 1:1 Amp)

Secreted behind the veil of eternity, the Word existed, and in the fullness of time, God ripped that curtain from the heavenly top to the earthly bottom to fully reveal His Son.

When Jesus came to earth, He threw off His robe of celestial royalty and dressed Himself in a tiny, pink suit of humanity, and from the birth-manger to the death-tomb, “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14 NKJV)

Jesus. The Word of God. Immanuel. Wonderful. Counselor. Mighty God. Everlasting Father. Prince of Peace. A Name above every name.

No matter which name you use, calling on the Son of God has…

cmg-580*averted disasters
*shut the gates of hell
*turned away tornadoes
*given sight to the blind
*given hearing to the deaf
*given the lame the ability to walk
*opened the portals of heaven
*brought salvation to lost souls
*delivered those oppressed by demons
*saved the lives of those in car wrecks
*healed people of cancer, AIDS, and other diseases
*and even brought some back from death’s grip.

Dependence on that Name for every detail of life is essential.

When Jesus was brought before Pilate to be tried, Pilate said, “What then am I to do with Jesus?” (Matt. 27:22 Phillips) Peter said, “There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.” (Acts 4:12 NLT)

Paul said of Jesus, “God raised Him up to the heights of heaven and gave Him a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Phil. 2:9-11 TLB) Amen!

What do you do with this Name above all names? What do you do with this Jesus? Have you called on that Name to be saved? Do you totally depend on that Name? Do you live a lifestyle that upholds that Precious and Wonderful Name?

Living to bring honor to that Name is our duty and privilege.

I leave you with this video. It is really awesome. I hope you will take time to listen to it. You will be blessed…
