Heading Home – Lynn Mosher’s Inspirational Writing Ministry
Here’s an interview with one of our precious contributing writers Lynn Mosher. Lynn is the author of the inspirational blog “Heading Home”. Heading Home is a wonderful Christian resource where you will be encouraged, edified, and empowered in your faith. Read more about Heading Home below.
* Why is it called Heading Home?
If you are a Christian and love the Lord, and as you walk through this life, you are in a constant state of heading toward your eternal Home in heaven.
We make many choices in this life, and they will either lead us down God’s path that leads Home, or lead us down the enemy’s path that leads…well, not where you want to go. Heading Home offers wisdom from the Word to help in making those right choices.
*What’s the purpose of the site?
The slogan in the header of my blog says, “Following God’s compass as it points to the right path Home.” The scripture says, “Set up road signs; put up guideposts. Take note of the highway, the road that you take.” (Jeremiah 31:21 NIV)
The Lord has asked me to write for Him, so I write in obedience to bring glory to Him and to be of some benefit to others—whether that is to encourage, inspire, exhort, comfort, uplift, or whatever. It’s to help us tread those paths and be the people of God that He desires us to be. And as we learn to follow His Word and His will, making those right choices, we are able to set up the guideposts for others to follow.
*How does your site help your readers?
It is always my prayer that whatever I write will meet the need of at least one person. Helping more is better, but the Lord knows who needs a word whispered to his or her heart. In whatever way He desires to bless someone, it’s His call. God uses my hands to spell out what He speaks to my heart. Only the comments of others can speak of how my words touch their hearts.
*Here are some comments readers have left who have been inspired by Lynn’s writings.
“As always, wonderful insight delivered in language that allows us to understand and apply to our daily walk. Thanks!”
“This post is right on time for me. I always hold to our Lord’s promises. I know that His word is true, but I love it when He gives me the confirmation I need. This posting was exactly that…confirmation.”
“What a beautiful post that makes me just want to curl up and spend some time with the Lord! Thank you for having a listening heart and obeying that nudging, Lynn!”
“Oh, Lynn what a wonderful post. That is simply a powerful story. Thank you for sharing. With my husband’s work hours just being cut, I really needed this reminder to be thankful in everything.”
“After the year our family has had, this post gave me such hope and peace. I’m typing with tears in my eyes. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful devotion with us. I’m copying this and reading it through the year when I feel particularly overwhelmed.”
“What a word! Thank you for sharing that. I want to do such great things for the Lord. I’m ready for Him to use me…and don’t want any old remnants from last year. I love your blog site and you are a great teacher of the Word! God bless the work of your hands!”
“Your words speak such encouragement and hope…and life…thank you…blessings.”
“Bless you, beautiful woman of God for pricking my heart with this reminder to do better. I’m printing this and putting it up where I can see it every day.”
“Thank you so much for your inspiring words, you are an encouragement and may everything you give be given back to you: pressed down, shaken together and running over!”
As a last word…
I am very thankful to the Lord for using my words to bless others, and for bringing those precious souls to visit and read what I have to say on my site. I pray God’s blessings on all who stop by!
