MySpace Friend Writes…

I’ve been really down  lately. It seems like everyone around me is finding their one Truelove and starting their Lives with them,And I really want that too.I know that God has the perfect guy out there for me somewhere and that when God feels that we’re both ready we will meet.I know that God knows whats best for me. I just really wish the time would come already,I’m tired of being lonely.I want to Fall in Love with someone and know that they Love me back;and we’ll get married and start a family together. But I’m trying to wait for God to send the perfect guy for me because I’ve had my Heart broken to many times trying to do it on my own,and I know that God won’t let that happen again.I just want to know When is it my turn? I really want to Start a family of my own and raise them in a Christian home. I pray that God will let us meet soon:)

Dearest sister,
I hear your heart in this! You are trying to be so patient in this time of waiting on the Lord. But don’t ever forget that your heavenly Father’s hand is not short, that it can’t save, and His ear is not heavy, that He can’t hear your heart better than anyone! (Is. 59:1) You really need to remember that the Lord is still working on your behalf, even when you don’t see it. One of the key words you use is “seems”—that’s very important. We can’t look at how things seem to be; rather, we need to hang on and keep walking by faith, not by sight (II Cor. 5:7). Don’t look at what others have. That is a trap to make you impatient and ungrateful. Instead, refocus on what you can be thankful for, which will remind you of God’s faithfulness to you in the past and give you hope for the future.

Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation.”
That’s a great starting point when choosing to be thankful for where we are and what we have. The Lord loves us and saved us from our sins, and that is more than enough to be thankful for every day. Don’t give in to the temptation to be frustrated. Let your words and your heart be full of praise to the Lord all day every day, and keep hoping in Him, because His salvation and righteousness are limitless (Ps. 71:14-15). As we cultivate a heart of thankfulness and delight in the Lord, things take their proper perspective, and He will give us those desires of our heart that are perfectly aligned with His will, in His time (Ps. 18:30, 37:4).
You already know the truth of God’s promises—only you can keep you from believing and following them (Gal. 5:7). I would encourage you to keep running this race, because Jesus has already laid hold of your future for you, and you know that God’s plans are good! (Jer. 29:11, Phil. 3:12-14). Keep walking wholeheartedly with the Lord, living a Godly, contented life that will be of great gain to you (I Tim. 6:6). Be satisfied with the goodness of His presence in your life every day, and know that He hears your prayers and will answer them (Ps. 65:4, 66:20, I John 5:15). Don’t look to the right or the left at what’s going on around you, but listen to the Lord as He whispers in your ear, “This is the way, walk in it” (Is. 30:21). Don’t give up, or give in, but trust in Him with all your heart and let Him lead you! (Prov. 3:5-6) You won’t regret it!

Much love, sister,

Beloved by Him
